Sister
The music fills the room
And she bolts up
She grabs my hand and pulls me up
Grinning ear to ear
I pick her up and twirl her around
There is no thought behind her eyes
We are graceful yet clumsy
Fluid and smooth
But no idea what we are doing
Although that's alright
We are mindless as we go back and forth
To the beat of the music
And as the music fades out
We sit back down
And this kid who I have seen grow up
Is now curled up next to me
As the next song starts
