If eyes are the windows to the soul

Maybe I can hold onto hope

Because there is kindness embedded in a persons nature

Healing my heart of every fracture

I hope for eyes filled with warmth

To help me through the deepest storms

In some eyes linger pains of the past

Or memories we can never get back

Others hold mischief and laughter

Perhaps some are repressing disaster

Eyes wide open, I have nothing to hide

Feel free to guess what I've hidden inside

Whether lingers love or hate

Made of so much more than our past fates

Eyes are the windows to the soul

The story yours tell is beautiful

The author's comments:

Writing is my passion. I love to express myself through the only forum that I understand- my words. I'm not very good at speaking and being social freaks me out, but when I write, I feel like I can finally understand myself and I like to think that I can connect with other people as well.
