Bright

White

Blinding

Could we turn down the lights?

Could we close his blinds?

Ma’am, he can’t push the button

Ma’am, I think he’s missing something

This cord is unconnected

Ma’am, why are you laughing?

Could we help him out?

That is his prescription.

I’m sorry.

Ma’am is he breathing

A few more days and he’ll be leaving

He didn’t make it out alive

Multiple rooms

Ma’am the code matches the sky

Could you please close the blinds?

“Ma’am, I’m so sorry but he died.”

This poem was inspired by the events of my grandfather passing away.
