Sydney
Time and time again, I find myself thinking about you.
I think of how my bad days turned good, after petting your fur that was as soft as a cloud.
I think of how stormy nights turn to tug-of-war fights.
I think of our walks, the ones that we took to get out of the house.
I think of how on walks, you would stop and sniff the flower beds as if you were smelling the flowers.
I think of your sleepy face, your bark, and your howl.
I think of the cheesy orange Cheetos that we would share.
I think of how you would absorb the pain from my day.
I think of the smell of dog treats, and how I thought they were disgusting.
I think of how your nub of a tail would wag, and the dance you would do when you were excited.
I think of the endless cuddles you would give, while I would play animal crossing.
They were so full of love.
I think about how you would howl,
Like you were sinning a song of joy.
I thought of the naps we took,
I thought that I slept better knowing you were by my side.
You were the rock I could scream and cry a storm of emotion at,
and you would still be there, Standing strong,
looking at me as if you were saying ¨i'm here.
I miss you Sydney.
