the longest winters with you
though winter’s days are of the shortest,
this year of frost will feel as if it’s evermore.
evermore with its snow fall,
evermore with its cold breezes,
evermore with its refreshing smell and its shining lights.
though there will be ones who are with us
and those who are not.
yet in hearts, will we hold them
and in memories, will we cherish them.
who’s eyes and smiles will forever mull light
of beauty.
to be with these winter days without you
is a feeling similar to pain,
but what pain should i feel
if you’re out of your misery?
in these winter nights and days, i will miss you,
but you shall always be with me.
with me in these days of winter’s wonderland.
with me in these days of the longest winters.
with me you will always be.

this is a short poem of mine based upon winter and losses on loved ones. even in the coldest of seasons or emptiness of holes, no matter who we lose, they'll always be with us. they'll always love us and we'll always love them. i hope this helps someone here! if anything, feel free to let me in on some pointers in the comments! thank you <33
