childhood
Innocence
something I’ll never get back
as I grow old
years added onto my life I realize how rare and
precious childhood was
again I wish to be free
again I wish to not have the stress of school
Again I wish to not hesitate before putting the balls of
Play-Doh in my mouth
Again I wish to spend hours building a simple Lego sets
Again wish to spend all my chores money on Webkinz
Again I wish to go back in time
To when I was young And didn’t realize the baggage I carry
To the time when I didn’t have my battle scars from depression
Permanently marked on my skin
I wish to go back to the time when missing a new adventure time
episode was the only reason I would cry
Child is precious and pure
I miss it
