Ollie was very excited about kindergarten

Ollie waited all summer for school to finally start

He was the first kid to show up in the morning and the last to leave at night

He was full of excitement for each day

Ollie wondered why he didn't have any friends though 

Ollie also wondered why no one sat next to him during lunch

But Ollie didn't care

Because Ollie made his own friends 

He made friends with the crayons that he drew with, and the books on the shelves 

He made friends with the birds in the trees he saw during recess and the alphabet on the wall

Ollies favorite thing to do at recess was to play in the grass and pick flowers

Ollie loved the bright colors of the flowers 

Ollie also loved to draw

He loved the shapes that he made and he loved his coloring books

One day Ollie was given a dinosaur coloring book

He spent all day coloring the picture and was very proud of his work

At the last circle, he went outside of the line

Ollie was very sad at this  and was going to throw away the picture when his teacher stopped him

She told him that it made his picture more beautiful and special 

She told him it was brave going outside of the lines even if by accident 

From then on he liked going outside of the lines to make his pictures more special

He also liked showing other students how to go outside of the lines

Ollie made many friends teaching them something so new and exciting

Ollie was happy with all of his friends, pictures, flowers, and colors and will always remember that it is okay to go outside of the lines even if nobody else does.
