A walk down the street

August 21, 2021

Walking down the street,
In total despair,
With the mind ranting about the elites,
To whom I’m always compared.

Walking down the street,
Reminds me of the past times,
Which were peculiar but sweet,
Unlike now bounded by restricting lines.

Walking down the street,
Makes me think of how exacting it is,
To accept your defeat which is on repeat,
With every glory seeming to be fading away.
