The Unknown
The Unknown is a scary place
Who knows what scary things I’ll face?
"Un-" means not and known means to be aware
Unknown is to not be aware.
I like to be aware.
The unknown is not a place I want to be
I like knowing where I am
I like knowing what I am doing
I like knowing.
The unknown means you don’t know
You won’t know
You don’t know
But what if…
The unknown is a wonderful place
Who knows what fun adventures I’ll face?
The unknown is a place I want to be
I like knowing where I am
I like knowing what I am doing
I like knowing
But what if knowing isn’t what’s best?
What if knowing is a form of control?
What if I need to just let go and step out into
The unknown.
This is the first time I've ever tried poetry.
