Thorn
How to describe it-
Crisp and clean,
It is gentle to me,
But to others it is mean.
It is not that of a flower,
But that of the thorn.
It is tattered and worn,
Over the years it collected dust,
Waiting for someone to trust.
To me, it is kind and protective,
To you, it might be cold and destructive
To me, it is soft and alive,
To you, it may be rugged and seem to decay.
It is familiar in a way,
Around it, I know I am safe.

Come with me as I describe the smell of my girlfriend in a poem. No, I am not saying that she smells, I am just saying that she has a certain smell.
