My Dad's Photo Album
There is nothing like a huge
Spaghetti eating Sicilian family,
In black and white, with hoses or
Fire chiefs or training pants,
With oversized foreheads and tempers
Searing through the camera.
Nothing like “I’ve Got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day”
Or “Hot Town, Summer in the City,”
That screams summer of 1965 on 65th Street,
Or a baby’s first steps or first smile or
Graduations or baptisms or First Communions,
That flick the thin line between yesterday and the
Future.

For my dad--a tribute to my dad's cool childhood and our family's Sicilian heritage.
