Young Cousin Lao
By lamplight I saw you in the nasty part of town
Why was I there?
Let’s just say that I was feeling down
And feeling like this, grabbed an old crown
To spend on cheap rum, concertina, and clown
Finished with these, I started back home
And finding myself lost, began to roam
Only to see, there in the lamplight
You, in company of shapes half your height
And so knowing of you that which I do now,
I’d thank you to stay away from Young Cousin Lao
