Forgiveness
‘I’m sorry…’
Does she really think I’ll forgive her?
The memory crystal clear, not a blur.
‘I’m sorry…’
How could she do that to me?
After all we've been through, she can’t dare to try and flee.
‘I’m sorry…’
I don’t even want to look at her right now
And I’m supposed to find it in me to forgive her, how?
‘I’m sorry…’
However, I do miss her.
Forced to do it she was they were horrible they were.
‘I’m sorry…’
No, she should’ve been strong
How she betrayed and humiliated, that was so wrong.
‘I’m sorry…’
She seems so hurt but does she know what I’ve been through?
I guess it was a mistake, who do i listen to now, who?
‘I’m sorry…’
The ego in me wanted to say “Go Away”
But the angel in me wants to forgive, and wash the memory all away.
‘I’m so deeply sorry…’
I have to be the bigger person here.
It’s the angel I’m going to go with here.
“Thank you, so much…’
Forgiveness can be a fickle thing.
But there’s nothing like the feeling.
