Misunderstanding
The damage is done young, and there is no recourse,
Too awful to say it, too shameful to confront it,
No truth is revealed so its enemy festers.
Roots, short at first, twist with strength through Silence,
Time, short at first, grows small pains into pustules of malady.
Impregnable, believed for so long; impervious, as if by magic.
Misdirection, belief, faith, these things are magic,
These things are delusion, it
Destroys her brain, it broke my heart.
Unfixable.
Untouchable.
Yet, livable.
