Jealous

Jealousy splits us apart,

Like an axe through wood

Breaking a bond.

Jealousy ends our love for one another,

Turns you against me,

Creates hatred inside your heart,

Jealousy is dangerous.

Jealousy is a storm cloud on a sunny day,

It is a path to the wrong destination,

a rip in your pages.

It starts small,

Like roots in a tree,

Growing deeper into you,

Intertwining with your heart,

Tugging on your feelings,

It becomes apart of you.

As you get closer with me,

The roots dig deeper,

As you love more and more about me,

The more your roots grow.

As your tree grows upwards,

The roots grow into you.

As your relationship grows,

Your jealousy does too.

As our friendship dies,

So does your jealousy.

The tree is cut down and never returns.
