Medication MAG
Her trembling hands reached out for the tall, skinny bottle
The glass clinking as it made its way out of the cupboard
The black lid spun off and fell to the floor
Glass grazed her chapped, cracked lips
The clear liquid rushed through her mouth
A burning sensation destroyed her throat all the way down to her stomach
One gulp fixes her loved ones
Second gulp medicates her soul
Third gulp numbs the body
Everything is fine for now
She dreads the family coming home soon
Her breath will linger in the family loved air
The children will smell the medication
Her worries come back
She reaches for the bottle
