History Repeats Itself
History repeats itself like a broken a record.
200,000 years living together as a race,
but yet our society is stuck on hate.
Stuck on hate.
Stuck on hate.
Stuck on hate!
Pushing each other to the brink until they retaliate,
and when they do we assign them the blame,
as though we would never do the same.
History repeats itself as time goes on,
until those who fight it are dead and gone.
And history repeats itself once again.
Once again.
Once again.
History repeats itself with destruction and death,
until the hate we say leaves us out of breath.
But yet we hate each other
and we hate ourselves
We hate as though it’s the cure to the the black death.
It seems we are addicted to hate as though it were meth.
We addicted to hate as we inject it in
and feel its coldness run beneath our skin.
We are addicted to hate as we breath fear in
and continue a war that no one will win.
This world turns to war as though it’s salvation,
without realizing that without peace, we’ll fall of starvation.
There’s been a war on every man, woman and child,
but still nobody is trying to reconcile
There’s been a war on religion and drugs.
There’s been a war on poverty and love.
There’s been a war on health care and guns.
There’s been a war on money and sons.
There’s been a war on reproduction and rights.
There’s been a war on freedom and life.
There’s been countless wars that bring nothing but strife.
There’s been countless wars that end our own life.
There’s been countless wars of fire and flame.
There’s been countless wars with nothing to claim.
There’s been countless wars where the innocent die
while those who caused it stand off to the side.
There’s been countless wars and there will forever be more.
There’s been countless wars each bringing us closer to death's hallowed door.
History repeats itself as we enter the the war.
History repeats itself as we say just one more.
History repeats itself as the lower class pays.
History repeats itself as mothers beg their sons to stay.
History repeats itself as the first shot is fired.
History repeats itself as more hate is acquired.
More hate is acquired
More hate is acquired
More.
Hate.
Is.
Acquired
History has repeated itself time and time again,
but history may not repeat itself if you’d be my friend.
History repeats itself but maybe that can change,
even if the thought of it seems rather strange.
History repeats itself as we enter the war,
but history is made because it’s humanity we’re fighting for.
History is made as we wage war on fear,
but instead of bullets and bombs we fight with tongues and ears.
History repeats itself as the war enters the night,
but history is made as we enter the light.
History is made as this war is for right
History is made as we fight for love,
instead of fighting over if there’s a God above.
History is made as we break bread not lives.
History is made as husbands return to their wives.
History is made and the flow of blood stops.
History is made as we feel rain drops.
History is made as love conquers fears.
History is made as the end of an era nears.
History is made tolerance prevails.
History is made as Libra hands over her scales.
History may repeat itself but we’re on a new track.
History may repeat itself but we shall never go back.
History may repeat itself but we’ve laid a new road.
History may repeat itself but at least we’ve cracked the code.
History may repeat itself but together we’ve learned,
how to live in harmony instead of watching the world burn.
So let history try repeat itself, we’re no longer afraid.
So let history try repeat itself, we’ll show it the wisdom we’ve gained.
So let history try repeat itself, but it’s on a new track,
and if hate comes back we have a counterattack.
We will fight hate with love.
Not leave fate to any God above.
We our leading our own lives,
And were doing just fine.
So let history repeat itself,
but let it repeat love.
Repeat love.
Repeat love.
REPEAT LOVE!
