She who dances through the sky

November 5, 2018

She dances around in the dark night
Leaping off cliffs and carrying the water in her arms
Bringing music to the people, moon, and stars
She howls with the wolves
And moves leaves, petals, and flowers
She pranks people when she takes their things
While carrying papers and hats in a gentle breeze
If you are lucky, you may catch her
Flying and shaking our leaves off of our trees

I wrote this piece about the wind using personification to make a free verse poem. I described the wind as a dancer and someone who has a mischievous personality as well as someone who really enjoys life.
