Christmas of Want
Every Christmas I’d ask for all these toys and dolls
But what I really wanted, I did not know at all
At six years of age, I chose a “surprise”
But inside, a feeling of want was beginning to arise
I got stuffed animals and clothes and many decorations
But that feeling inside left me with many frustrations
I knew not what I wanted or felt like I needed
But I thought what I wanted was to be appreciated
