The Days Ahead
Everyone says
Think in the present
Forget the future
But if you think ahead
You may be able to save something
Prevent something
Ahead I see clouds of grey
But not from a storm
Ahead I see shadows
Of high tall buildings
Ahead I see rivers and oceans
Not of water, but plastic
If I look ahead to future days
I could stop this
And save the world of
Everyone’s death day
Pick up trash
Turn off the lights
To stop the days ahead

I always wonder what it would be like in the future if we continue to treat Earth the way we do today. I hope this poem brings awareness to people about treating the Earth kindly.
