All I Can Do is Hope
Hope is the cruelest thing
That rips your soul apart
It build you up then tears you down
Breaking your weary heart
Something that brings you comfort
Also has the sharpest knife
It stabs you over and over
After each and every strife
Hope reaches through the coldest heart
And through the iciest soul
Hope is the best deceiver
That tricks everyone and all
Why must it crush our dreams
Burden our broken bones
Why must hope be so merciless
And leave ourselves alone?
..But who am I to complain?
I am just another lonely human
Perhaps that is all I can do,
I can't help to hope again.
