Together In Heart
She lays on her bed
The pillow is soaked.
There's an ache in her head
And her heart in her throat.
It's been 23 weeks
Since last they embraced.
She crosses each day
As one less she has to wait.
She puts on a smile
A smile for the show,
But inside she's dying
And no one will know.
The pain is the worst
When she is alone.
She hardly can take it,
She just needs him home.
Then the day's finally here
And they've overcome
Months of distance,
Heartache and tears.
Their love has been strengthened
They've been through it all
Nothing can break them
They will not stagger and fall.
This life isn't easy
She didn't choose this path
It takes a woman with strength
To do the things she has.
He's worth every day
That they spend apart.
'Cause they're always together,
Together in heart.
