Addicting
Into his eyes I looked,
I saw in his eyes pain.
I knew he was hooked,
On something that went in his vein.
He wanted to let go,
but it was so addicting.
Something in his mind was telling him no,
but what he was using was so constricting.
“I regret trying the drug,
I am no longer right in the head.”
Now he lies on the rug,
truly dead.
