scarlet ribbons

Scarlet ribbons
Encircle her wrist
If she left this earth
would she even be missed?
She never wanted it
to go this far
never wanted
To exceed one scar
But one turns to two
And two turns to fifty
each gash straight and smooth
Each slash slicing swiftly
But something so clean
Can feel so dirty
The scars go away
But they never stop hurting

Excellent work! I love how detailed it is and how much imagery you used. Great topic, too.
