"Fake Idols"
Wherever you're going, that's where I'm not
Or at least that's where I don't want to be
The after burn from your heart that's here
Is just slowly burning out into a faint memory
All our stories are being ripped from my wall
And your pictures are going up in flames
That fake smile that's on your shrine
Is no longer, to me, looking the same
Your promises are being erased
From my cast-plastered, silicone heart
And, by the way, they're being replaced
With another fake idol to play the part
The walls seem so empty
Where your pictures use to be
These memories mustn't be shackled like myself
They must and shall go free
And don't think you can look at me with those eyes
I'm not looking for your sympathy
And if you're searching for any glimpse of sadness
Well it's turned into nothing more but apathy
You can feed off my attention to your "guilt"
Until you get your fill
Just know that I hate you
But hey, at least I'll always will.
