once you lose it
you cant get it back
it always slips away
even when you keep track
 
no matter how much there is
it’s never enough
but it always drags out
when the going gets tough
 
it flies by
when you wish it would stop
but it just keeps ticking
like the hands on a clock
 
we try to chase it
but it still runs out
and there is always a limit
that you are never without
 
we wish we had more
but this we can’t buy
and although it’s deceiving
it never lies
 
don’t waste it
by being too aware
just live your life
and know that it’s there.
 
so spend it wisely
and fill it with love
it’s all you’ve been given
from God above.
