Free-Falling
I want to fall through space
In a perfect bubble dome
Freeze and float through time
Drifting slowly down
I want to live my life
But only through the past
It may not be exciting
But at least it won't be sad
I don't want to feel the future
It frightens me too much
I'd rather watch the past
A sturdy happy rush
Here everything is safe
Pieced together nicely
Keep our story joyful
By sitting here beside me
Once we reach our hands out
This glass will shatter fast
The clock will then start ticking
We'll learn if we will last
So don't reach out beyond me
Just lay here and read slowly
We'll pretend we're meant to be
And never say "I'm lonely"
