More than meets the eye
Hair the fairest shade of blonde
Eyes blue as the morning sky
If you look beyond that handsome face
You'll find nothing but empty space
If you gaze inside those pretty blue eyes
Can you spy the tears cried?
Tears fallen like raindrops from gray clouds
Tears crashed into the ground
no. Such tears are weakness
And he is far from weak
Yet he is very broken
If you grasp his hand, skin so soft and kind
Can you feel the pain floating in his mind?
Pain surrounded by electric fences
Pain gaurded with tall walls
no. Such pain is a secret
And he is far from open
Yet he is quite comforting
A smile so bright so striking
A laugh so addictive so inviting
If you look deeply can you see
The cracks beneath the surface ?
The shakes in each breath?
And every scar, which pleads for an early death
