Eulogy
Every time I think of you,
You seem to reappear.
I can't escape the thoughts of you.
I'm wishing you were here.
I sleep at night and see your face,
It loves to haunt my dreams.
The only problem I must embrace,
When I awake you're nowhere near.
At times I can't remember your smell,
Or the sound of your voice.
At times it's just too hard to tell,
Why you left by choice.
Now all that's left are thoughts of you,
They're all I'll ever have.
But if there's one thing I can promise you,
Your death was not in vain.
