The Quest
in the midst of the crashing waves,
she sees, she sees, the one,
the one to save her precious life,
the one to free her from the sun.
she calls for help as the hero,
sees her in the bright sun.
he struggles to wade through the waves,
so the quest has begun.
“oh, maiden of the sun,” he cries,
waves weigh down his body,
but fails to weigh down his brave soul,
he isn’t a somebody.
he’s a hero, running to save,
or rather, swim, to save,
he chuckles as he floats above
waters, himself he gave.
in exchange for the pure maiden,
he is just forever,
embodied in the outline of
the sun, ending his endeavor.
