A gem I can not hope to hold

I long to reach out and touch it

If only I could be so bold

So here, holding my head, I sit

An untouched rose in the garden

Its petals soft and delicate

They will never crisp nor harden

Always will they be decadent

As graceful as a butterfly

And as marvelous as one too

A true beauty my eyes did spy

With a hop, through the sky she flew

Her scarlet dress engulfed the room

Like a wild flower in full bloom

It's a simple ballad, nothing ground breaking nor world changing.
