Greek Mythology From A to Z
Come on this quick journey and follow me.
We’ll start with Athena, charge of war and justice.
Then into a tree turned Philemon and Baucis.
For “C,” we have centaurs, part human- part horse.
Demeter’s the goddess of agriculture, of course.
Entertained the queen and punished was Echo.
The Fates control destiny and tell us what will go.
The Gemini are twins named Castor and Polydeuces.
Hades the devil is a brother of Zeus’s.
The Ionides protect a spring, a healing one.
Jocasta bore Oedipus and married this son.
Ker is the black winged, vengeful spirit.
Leto gave birth to twins let’s hear it!
Muses give artists and scientists bright notions.
Narcissus gave his reflection loving devotion.
To the Oracles travel to find life’s meaning.
Posiedon is next, he’s the sea’s great being.
Queen Hera, Zeus’s lover, has much scorn.
Rhea’s a titan of agriculture like corn.
Scylla a sea monster with Charybdis pair make.
The Titans, six powers, Zeus’s beating did take.
Ur is the city where Hermes bought his lyre.
Virbilus’s immortal, saved from Hade’s fire.
The Winds are four gods that live in the air.
Xanthus, Achilles’s horse, can live without care.
Young Kouros, boy god, is the god of fertility.
Lastly, comes Zeus, he rules this whole city.
