The screech of silence

left her feeling

anxious,

a feeling felt

all too often.

Loneliness:

the paralyzing drug,

equivalent

of a poison dart.

But in the morning,

back to freedom,

taking a break

from her anxieties.

This piece is a found poem. I opened the book to a random page and chose certain words/phrases to put together to create this poem.
