Alone
She sits alone,
Still as stone.
A queen dethroned.
Head in her hands,
Shoulders shaking.
A single tear,
Escapes her here,
At solitude,
Her mortal fear.
With no one in sight,
In the quiet night,
Now she writes.
Her words dance over the page,
The lines a stage.
Her fear is caged.
