Another One Gone

Mom takes a fresh load of laundry from the dryer. When the phone rings, she places the basket on the floor, but the dog sneaks in. He swiftly snatches a sock and bolts. Out behind the old shed, where no one can see, his work begins. Another sock gone, lost in the abyss.
