Temporary.
it's just like when we were small children
and engrossed with our temporary tattoos
and it's like when we were
how we are now,
engrossed with our old pains
and trying to forget
what would happen when we were still small children
after we left the playground
and daddy and mommy would scream,
and even though he wasn't my real daddy
he was all i had
and at that age i didn't know
how complicated things like those worked
and we told ourselves that it would be just
like the temporary tattoos
and all just wash off
but it never did
and now we're afraid of creating that for ourselves
