The Key
What’s the key to everything?
Is there just one key for it all
Like a skeleton key
Maybe if you have the key to one
You find the keys for the others
If you find the key to happiness could you use it to lock up
Sadness
Anger
hate even
But if you lock them up is it for everyone or just you
Would you lose compassion, if you only felt happy?
In the end would you truly be happy
But what if you lied
What if you pretended to be happy?
To please everyone else
To make them happy
Would they know?
Could they know?
Could you fool them?
Fool yourself
So what would you do if you found the key?
The key to everything?
