Gifts
Children are the most sacred gifts of all,
Your own children are like you,
When you were younger,
Sometimes that is good,
Other times it can be bad,
You teach them and help them grow,
You make them feel safe in your arms,
You can try to tell them what to become,
But face it they have to go their own way,
Someday,
But for now let them be children,
You're only a child once,
So live it up,
Let them be free,
To have an imagination,
Let them be a fairy, a prince, a spy,
When they grow up,
They'll remember that your place is home,
No matter how far they travel,
You'll always be mommy and daddy,
And they will always be,
Your little girl,
Or little boy,
Children are the most sacred gifts of all,
They are a gift from god.
