Reaching Real
I am who I am today
And no one can change that now
They can beg and they can plead
But there's just no way how
I've built these walls around me
To keep in what I've become
And they can keep on knocking
But nothing can be done
I finally reached my goal
Of touching true reality
No more faking who I am
Now everyone can see me
And if someone foolishly decided
What they just does not please
Then let them shut their sorry mouths
And turn around and leave
Eventually they'll learn the hard way
The fake do not succeed
They dye their hair and tan their skin
Just wait, they soon will fall
For once I'm who I choose to be
Not what high school says I should
I'm free and fun and different
And damn does it feel good
