goodbye
On a rainy night I may
While you were gone and away
While I stayed up all night
With all the family fights
And when you were home
I still felt alone
And with his and your fights
All I heard was goodbye
You were never there for us
And you never had my trust
And when you thought we were asleep
You would leave that night
And not come back till day light
And when you came home
We would fight
And all I could say was goodbye
And with the money you take
You would go away
And I would stay up all night
With all the fights
Why were you such a traitor
Then about an hour later
We got the bad news
Dad bought some booze
Then we bought you a basket
And laid it on your casket
And as I took one last look at your face
I knew in this family you were the base
And all I could do was travel deeper into the dark
And as I started to mutter and sputter
All I could say was goodbye forever.
