Immortality
Tell me that will never die.
That will spend our days
Remembering eons gone by,
Laughing about all the mistakes
That we made when we were
Young and more so na've.
We'll sit on the banks of the rivers
We have seen be polluted,
And we'll drink red wine.
When you tell me we'll never die.
Tell me that we will stay young,
Running and shrieking through
Meadows that we have known
Both as seed and sapling.
You and I, with youth running
Through our veins with more
Intensity than a cheetah through
The deserted savannahs will
Prosper forever under the idea that
We will never die.
