Gateway to the Soul
He intended to be her last
And she accepted the demons of his past
Although she covered her love with hostility and hate
She could not help but follow her fate.
His heart cold as ice, while her's burns with fire
She tried to hide her darkest desire
He offered her to travel the world
The thought of this made her stomach swirl
He once told her, "You and I are the same"
The thought of this drives her insane
His sparkly blue eyes
is what gave her butterflies
However long it takes is what he declared
Her feelings for him is what made her scared
He once gave her a blue dress and some jewelry
In that moment she felt unity.
He always looked in her bright blue eyes
And never did he once think their love would die.
He thought she was strong, beautiful and full of light
With her, he sees a future so bright
He already has plans
To take her to Rome, Paris and Japan
However, he set her free to be everything she wanted to be
And he told himself she'd return to me.

I was assigned to write a poem in my English class that had to have a color and object within the poem. I decided to use this as an opportunity to write about my favorite 'ship' known as 'Klaroline' from the show 'The Vampire Diaries'. The color I used was blue because it symbolizes faith and trust. The object was both a the blue dress-used to symbolize unity- and their eyes- used for the "window to the soul" to show their true feelings about each other.
