Ever Changing, Never Changing
Your love is a sweet, flowing summers breeze,
Beneath the wings that carry my very soul,
Such tender loving comes with greatest ease,
The substance of your love has left me full,
As soft a voice as I have never heard,
Whispering lovingly close to my ear,
Much like the song of a summers eves bird,
My heart racing gleefully with you near,
But doubters say there is no tomorrow,
No love left to have in the years to come,
The changes ahead may bring great sorrow,
They say our love will at last be struck dumb,
To doubters and others alike I say,
Our love will live to fight another day.
