Thunder
I lay my head against the pillow.
My eye lids drop with at thickness.
A thickness intertwined with a lightness.
My body relaxes,
With the thought of you.
I see your face in my dreams,
In my reality, in my future.
But you don't see me.
I walk in the hallways,
Eyes glazed with love.
My heart thumping,
With a rush, a pain.
You pass by,
Encompassing me in your air,
Your breathe.
My throat closes.
My heart swells.
I can't breathe.
I can't think.
I want to run,
Into your arms,
Be the one for you.
Be the light of your darkness.
I see you everywhere,
My stomach drops,
My palms sweat,
But you walk by,
Towards that girl.
The girl that is a painting in a museum.
My eyes close,
My mind goes blank.
I want you,
But you don't want me.
I run with a fear,
A fear that you finally see the true me.
And then you turn,
As I turn.
And our eyes meet.
The sky opens up,
And then the thunder comes,
And the lights go off.
