I Never Liked Jokes Anyway
Words sprawl out of your mouth like spiders
crawling into the cracks of your young skin
that was so long ago tarnished and trashed
by that dazzling smile
with those lying teeth,
by those captivating eyes
with that deceiving look.
I see right through your tinted windows and into your tattered house.
And you thought you could fool me with your stack of playing cards,
but the tricks got old and your poker face wore off.
