The Game
As the whistle blew, the timer clicked
90 minutes of green on red
In rage but peace he kicked
And started to advance ahead.
Now that endless adrenaline filled the air
As the support screamed all around,
He rushed his fingers through his hair,
With chains of fortune he was bound.
He looked back one, us to think
Did all those practices go to waste?
Now as he began to sink,
Failure did have a terrible taste.
Now the pressure was brewing
As his light filled the air,
They didn't know what he was doing
But now he didn't care.
Then he made that fearless tackle
Whispered a prayer and shot the ball,
He cut open that ancient shackle
As his rivals began to fall.
Now the fans left their seat
As the songs began to start,
He didn't play this game with his feet
He played from his heart.
