Seeing You
I turn around and look at you,
And this is what I see:
A boy who wants a girl to love,
Create sweet memories.
A look again, and then I find,
The view has changed a bit.
Now I see your anger, hurt,
Emotional scars and hits.
I blink and see another side,
A common face for you.
Sarcastic words and blunt remarks,
This is your normal view.
As I take a closer look,
I smile at what I find.
A guy who loves to laugh and joke,
A friend who's sweet and kind.
I wonder now what I will see,
The next time that I look,
'Cause now I've finally figured out,
You're not an open book.
