An Unbroken Habit
I hate being the only one
That gets the bad attention
Rumors spread and I am done
With all of this
With all of that
With this first impression
This isn't me
And it's getting old
But it's hard to change a habit
My new best friend thinks she knows me
But most of the facts are only half
Some are lies and I won't deny
That I know me better than that
I keep pushing people to be their self
But why can't I do the same?
I can't look some in the eyes now
Because I feel ashamed
Some make fun of me, just like up north
But this time it really hurts
And it's not like I have any thorns
For them to prick a finger and get hurt
I hate feeling like I'm the only one
That gets the bad attention
Rumors spread and I am done
With all of this
And all of that
With this first impression
This isn't me
And it's getting old
Only I can change this habit
