Do me a Favor?
Can you do me a favor?
Can you look outside?
Look at the sky:
The millions of stars up there, hanging over our heads.
Find only the brightest ones.
Have you found them?
I talked to those stars tonight.
I told them to watch over you, and to keep you safe.
I told them to make sure you always have a reason to smile.
I told them that even if you're going through something rough, to always be right there, sparkling above you.
I talked to those few, bright stars in the sky.
I told them that even if I can't tell you I love you, they will be my eyes, and they will be my ears.
They will look down on you and listen to your prayers.
Never forget that.
If I'm gone somewhere, or if you ever miss me, just look up.
You'll see me in those stars.
I'm right there watching you, smiling at you.
I’m still with you.

I wasn't sure where to post this, as this is really more of a monologue than a poem. Any suggestions?
