Columbine High, '99
Eric Harrison and Dylan Klebold
Shot up Columbine High School, I'm told
We don’t really know what went through their heads
But they left 15 students for dead
No one quite knew what to say
When presented with that horrible sight
One the evening of that fateful day
Fifteen parents wept through the night
When the bombs in place failed to explode
By their guns, many died
Why they did this we don’t know
But it crescendoed into suicide
Eric Harrison and Dylan Klebold
Shot up Columbine High School, I'm told
We don’t really know what went through their heads
But they left 15 students for dead
Waving their guns, roaming the halls
They showed no mercy to spare
Listening to the scared and desperate calls
They fired without care
The other students first thought it a prank
Being pulled by the two older boys
But two twisted minds, the victims have to thank
While screaming over the noise

Shot up Columbine High School, I'm told
We don’t really know what went through their heads
But they left 15 students for dead
The plan was deliberate
And very complex
With the shots and the screams
No one could guess what was next
They threw a few pipe bombs to add confusion
But most of them didn’t work
It seemed as though this was for amusement
And all they wanted was hurt

Shot up Columbine High School, I'm told
We don’t really know what went through their heads
But they left 15 students for dead
Perhaps they thought it was fun
Maybe they wanted to make a statement
But now that it’s all said and done
I can only see hatred
The gunmen knew what would happen to them
When the rampage they caused was done
And afterwards, nobody saw them again
Because they both took their lives with a gun

“The worst school shooting in U.S. history”
The Columbine High School Massacre
Even though this doesn’t affect me directly
It has affect schools across the nation, I’m sure
What those two did that day
Will never be forgiven
And the only thing that I can say
Is I hope it never happens again
